
A performance of Placido Flamingo's "Student Cow"
The Student Prince is a 1924 operetta with music by Sigmund Romberg book and lyrics by Dorothy Donnelly, based on the play Old Heidelberg. The show has been revived many times since its premiere and was adapted to film by MGM in 1954.

- In Episode 2497 of Sesame Street, Placido Flamingo details a light opera he's written called "The Student Cow," about a cow who goes off to college in Heidelberg and meets many milk-drinking students. Placido and the kids then perform a musical selection from the show to the tune of "Drinking Song."
