Sweetiesn’oscar

The Sweeties were a vocal trio that consisted of Carla Benson, Evette Benton, and Barbara Ingram (1947-1994). They were also known as The "Philadelphia Angels" or "The Sweethearts of Sigma" and can be heard on many contemporary R&B / Disco albums. They were background vocalists to such artists as Lou Rawls and Patti LaBelle.

In 1986,[1] they appeared with LaBelle on Sesame Street singing "Take the Hand of Someone You Love."
