"The Truth" is a song initially written for the proposed Disney series, Little Mermaid's Island. The song appeared in the test episode, "Tell The Truth," performed by Sebastian the Crab to siblings Flounder and Sandy.
The song was later adapted for the Sesame Street home video, Telling the Truth, with some altered lyrics. This version was included on The Emperor's New Fur book-and-tape set.
