"The Way I've Got to Go" is sung by Cotterpin Doozer in the Fraggle Rock episode "All Work and All Play." Cotterpin asserts her independence by scorning the set customs of the Doozers in favor of personal freedom.
This song used the same tune as an earlier song from the series, "Kick a Stone." Lyrics for the song were printed in the book It's Not Easy Being Green. In the audio book, Jerry Nelson recites the lyrics in the voice of Gobo Fraggle.
