"The Wheels on Grover's Bus" is a variation on "The Wheels on the Bus," originally produced for the Sesame Street YouTube channel in 2021 as a part of a miniseries of remixes of the tune. (YouTube)
Grover is the driver of the "Grover Express" bus (which boasts his trademark pink nose, red lip, and some Super Grover lightning bolts), with Elmo as his sole passenger at the moment. As they sing, they pick up more and more unusual passengers - a dinosaur (Peter Linz), crocodile (Noel MacNeal), and a Honker, who all make unconventional noises.
While originally produced for YouTube, the song would go on to be used on the show proper starting in Season 52.
