Thirsty Howl III is a canine millionaire who appeared twice on Dog City. A genteel dog with an almost unflappable demeanor, Howl is the owner of the treasured Maltese Mouse. This results in his kidnapping by Bugsy Vile in "The Big Squeak."

Howl returns in "The Dog Pound," this time as an eager buyer for the stolen Sultan's Slipper. The following season, his son Thirsty Howl IV figures peripherally in "The Great Dane Curse."

His name is a take-off of millionaire Thurston Howell III from Gilligan's Island.
