Thirty Years of Sausage, Fifty Years of Ham: Jimmy Dean's Own Story is an autobiography written by Jimmy Dean in 2004. In the book, Dean talks about The Jimmy Dean Show, Rowlf the Dog and his relationship with Jim Henson. He reiterates the fact that he was offered forty percent ownership of Muppets Inc. and turned it down. Dean also relates some behind-the-scenes stories of working with Jim Henson, Frank Oz and Rowlf.
The book also features some of Dean's personal behind the scenes photos - including a shot of Rowlf, Jimmy and Ed Sullivan on The Ed Sullivan Show and one of Rowlf, Jimmy and Lassie on The Jimmy Dean Show.
