I've been contemplating starting an article on "Miss Piggy's Karate Chops" for some time now.
The page would include an intro about the origins of the chop -- how Oz improvised a scripted "slap" into a character-defining Karate chop (there are some good quotes out there from Jerry Juhl and Frank Oz in Of Muppets and Men, "A Company of Players" and Jim Henson: The Biography about the origins of her first karate chop).
And then the page would list (possibly in gallery form) all the instances where she's shown her karate skills (and the victims of her famous "hi-ya" chop). The season 1 "Muppet Morsels" feature attempted to track them all with a Karate Chop counter, but sadly there's no records tracking anything beyond the first season.
It'd be a bit of a big undertaking to catalog them all, something that would be tough for one person to do alone -- but we've done bigger things (we have a pages cataloging every Muppet kiss and everything Cookie Monster has ever eaten). Would there be interest in building such a page? Or is it too obsessive or trivial of a topic for us to track? Thoughts?
I've thought about doing the same for probably as long. I was going to mention the Morsels, but you already covered it. I would also include threats of violence. For example, she's used the phrase "cut you in half" or some version of it several times. The Frawley tape and the Star Wars episode off the top of my head.
