  • I'm in the process of uploading Sesamstrasse material (namely the control room sketches and the HD intro/outro). When was the intro and outro switched to what is on KiKA's website: 2008 or 2010?

    • EDIT: I think it's 2008 given that Pepe was swapped for Frau Kowalski.

    • From what I can recall, then they used the same intro from around 2006 until they changed the format in 2012. When Frau Kowalski was added they did replace Pepe with her in the intro.

    • What about the outro? When was that?

    • Okay, I need help here. Meanwhile I managed to complete this.

    • The outro did change a few times. At first they had a crawler text with some of the characters moving just above the credits. This continued after they changed the intro, but the characters was moved so they would appear as spacers in the text crawl. Then at one point they removed the crawling text and replaced it with boxes on the screen. So the one you have in your video on you tube are from the last version of the outro.

    • So the first one you described is in your video?

Okay, so switching Pepe to Frau Kowalski also put characters between text, but the footage... did it change or stay the same?

    • Not sure, are in the process of going through my hard drives to see if I can find a few episodes

    • I'm amused that they switched Pepe to Kowalski but left Moni and Feli intact despite all three of them appearing in repeats, pretty much. It also makes me suspicious that Tiffy wasn't repeated after her removal but Moni, Feli, and Pepe were. Hmm...

    • Found a few examples for you. But I don't have it in very high quality. Intro and outro with Pepe Outro without Pepe Outro without Pepe 2

    • So the 2008-2010 outro uses the same content as the 2010-2012.

    • I just noticed that the first video's outro is shorter than the one you uploaded in 2009, so I take it that they shortened the intro when Kermit the Frog text wasn't displayed. Now I'm curious: what did it look like when that text wasn't involved? Sorry if that makes you do more work :-(

    • I have a feeling it could be a variant, when a clip with Kermit have been used in one episode.

Yeah, they only use that when Kermit is shown. I know where it is in the 2010-2012 credits, but I can't find it in on any KiKA uploads that I found.

I guess by 2011, they realized they were wasting time with the outros (wouldn't it have made more sense to list out the cast and crew?) and made it 3 seconds long.

    • Now I'm curious: how do your hard drives work, what type are they, and what is in them (i.e. TV shows)? I don't need exact contents, since I won't need them until... several years when I'm an adult.

    • I have a few older drives that are laying in a drawer, not connected to my current computer. There were a few Sesamstresse episodes on one of them.

    • Huh. Good to know :-)

    • Do you mind if I link to those videos on my video? I also downloaded them in case.
