Hmmm, well I will say that when I was young, the only time I was ever terrified of Big Bird was during the end of dancing credits when Big Bird says "Sesame Street is a production of the Children's Television Workshop". I guess it was because of the angles Big Bird was posing at. I got over that as I got older and found it to very nostalgic.
Anywho, there so many times Big Bird made me sad. I wasn't really aware of what a hurricane was around the time Sesame Street aired the five-part hurricane episode. And seeing Big Bird's nest destroyed, losing something has me thinking of what happened to my Grandma when I was 8 years old. It was a day before my 9th birthday. I don't want to go into details on what happened.
When I was younger I remember getting a Tickle Me Big Bird and seeing it move. I moved with it and had a lot of fun. My brother thought it would be super fun to take his safty sciccors and cut off its feathers. He turned it on in front of me and it scrared the living day lights out of me. Though the next night I put it in his bed and made him scream.
