  • Hey Lucas, I've noticed small changes to some of the segments you've been adding to new episode pages. Are you writing them out, long-form? It would be much easier to copy and paste, and it would minimize errors.

Also, did you know you can add more than one segment to an article at a time rather than making dozens of edits for each addition? You made 16 edits on this one page in a short amount of time.

It would be helpful for yourself and others monitoring Special:Recentchanges if you made all those changes at once, and used copy and paste.

    • I was being cautious of not getting an edit conflict by somebody else making an edit before me.

    • That's fair. That can be frustrating. I hope you don't feel like it's a race though.

And honestly, CTRL-C and CTRL-V are immensely powerful tools.

    • Hi again. I reverted your recent changes to "Believe in Yourself‎‎" because your edits messed up the page formatting. Please take a look at the article's history to see what I mean and let me know if you have any questions.

Also, I see you're still having trouble with copy and paste as discussed previously. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with this practice. It will be helpful to you, but also it will keep the rest of the community here from having to revert or fix your edits. Thanks.

    • Do I need to install Microsoft Word if I want to copy and paste the right link? Digital Unite says that it's all I need.

    • No. Are you on Mac or PC?

    • I own a PC computer and I use it in my room, and when I go to my Nana's house, I use the Mac. Right now, I'm using the PC.

    • 1) Select the text you want to copy.

      2) Press CTRL-C to copy the text.

      3) Place your cursor in the space where you want to duplicate the text.

      4) Press CTRL-V to paste the text.

On a Mac, CTRL-C is Command-C to copy, and CTRL-V is Command-V to paste.

    • You're welcome to use Muppet Wiki:Sandbox to practice.

    • Hey Lucas, I see you're still having trouble with copy and paste. It's really a much more efficient way of duplicating text than typing it all out again. Especially for the types of edits I know you like to focus on here. Do you need some more help practicing?

The instructions I used earlier in this thread used keyboard shortcuts, but you may find this tutorial more helpful: [1]

Also, there's still the Muppet Wiki:Sandbox where you can practice.

    • Maybe just a little practice.

    • Hey Lucas, it looks like you're still typing out reproductions of text instead of copying and pasting it:

      Are you still having trouble?

    • That was just a mispelling of "first". Maybe I was typing too fast on that mistake.
