I think ''Unpaved'' might have also referred to Mr. Mac as an outside visitor, not that that means much now with direct sources available.

Like a lot of things, I think it made more sense in the early days of the wiki but also when we had more limited info on outside visitors. Mr. Macintosh brought his cart to the street (and gathered his produce) from outside per dialogue, compared to the others who had their homes and shops right there.

I think Unpaved might have also referred to Mr. Mac as an outside visitor, not that that means much now with direct sources available.
