Henson didn't direct. A note for the Welch episode on The Land of Gortch page states "According to the Henson Archives, this is the only sketch not written by the regular SNL writing staff; it was written by Jim Henson." This and another note of Henson's writing the sketch were added to the page in 2006. The original source was AskHenson.com.
