Thunderdell was the guardian of the sacred treasures of Giantland - the harp and the goose - in Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story. He was the foster father of the leading lady Ondine and the real father of Bran.
Thunderdell is the famous giant in the story Jack and the Beanstalk from whom Jack "liberated" the harp and the goose that laid the golden eggs.
Two different versions of Thunderdell appear in the film. The first is in the version of the story Countess Wilhelmina tells to Jack Robinson which was told to her by the first Jack, in which he is portrayed as the cruel and selfish brute described in the traditional fairy tale. Later, we see Thunderdell as he actually was; kind, gentle and friendly. He was a loving father, and enjoyed meals of aged wine and carefully seasoned mutton. Sadly, while trying to regain the stolen property from the evil Jack, and thus save Giantland, he fell down to Earth. Long believed to have died in the fall, this was later revealed to be untrue; Jack's mother killed him with an ax, when he turned out to be badly injured but still conscious after crashing to Earth.
Actually, Bran tried to save him, but Thunderdell urged him to let go, and Bran's hand finally slipped.
His bones were found by Robinson Enterprises while breaking ground on their new casino - and the giants still want revenge on the Robinson family for his murder.
