"Time in a Bottle" was performed on episode 207 of The Muppet Show by a series of Whatnots meant to be a chemist at different ages. The chemist, performed by Jim Henson, drinks a potion and becomes younger after each verse. At the end of the song, he reverts back to his initial age.
The original Jim Croce version of the song was used in a 2016 ad for the iPhone 6s featuring Cookie Monster.
