Times Square is a major intersection and tourist hub located in midtown Manhattan. The area is comprised of intersections between Broadway, Seventh Avenue, and 42nd Street, and is famous for its many shops, attractions, advertisements and popularly hosts the annual ball drop on New Year's Eve.

- The Muppets have appeared in the area several times when making appearances on Good Morning America, recorded at Times Square Studios.
- The Muppets have also been seen on several advertisements prominently displayed in the area, including Target and Kodak.
- Miss Piggy provided live coverage from Times Square on New Year's Eve 1996 for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
- Statler and Waldorf watch Muppets Tonight on one of the large screens in episode 201. The pair get crushed by a large remote attempting to change the channel.
- Kermit the Frog and Pepe the King Prawn appeared live at the Disney Store in Times Square at a special event in November 2012.
