"Together Wherever We Go," from Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim's musical Gypsy, is a trio sung by a mother trying to hold her small, dysfunctional family together through sheer willpower.
Ethel Merman, who originally sang "Together Wherever We Go" on Broadway, performed an excerpt with the Two-Headed Singer as part of a medley of songs from her career on episode 122 of The Muppet Show.
Merman later performed the song with Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear in a 1977 appearance on Dinah!
Rowlf the Dog and Jimmy Dean previously performed the song together on The Jimmy Dean Show on the December 31, 1964 broadcast, and then in the final episode.
