Tom Pipersson is the protagonist of the nursery rhyme "Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son" (who stole a pig and away he run).
He appeared on Sesame Street in the Colambo sketch "The Missing Pig." Colambo visits his residence to ask a few questions about the theft of Farmer McGregor's pig. Pipersson, the culprit, tries to pass off the pig as his dog (a pork-terrier) using a moustache. Colambo plays along at first, until he brings in McGregor and removes the pig's facial hair. It is then revealed that Pipersson has also stolen McGregor's cow and chicken, but the confused intervention of McGregor allows Pipersson to evade justice.
