Tony DeSena is a television writer who served as co-head writer for Sesame Street during Season 33, for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award.
In a 2012 podcast interview, DeSena explains how he ended up on the Sesame writing staff and his function there:[1]
DeSena's career has primarily consisted of writing for late night television. Among his other writing credits are The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, Late Night with David Letterman, Saturday Night Live (writing for the "Weekend Update" segment during the 1993-94 season), Later with Greg Kinnear, and the Everybody Loves Raymond special "The First Six Years."
