Tony Robinson (b. 1946) is a British actor best known for playing Baldrick (in various historical incarnations) on the sitcom Blackadder. He played the gnome Engywook in the 1995 Creature Shop-effects film The Neverending Story III.
Apart from Blackadder, Robinson starred as an on-camera storyteller in several children's series and has hosted multiple history series for the BBC. He created and co-starred on the children's sitcom Maid Marian and Her Merry Men (1989-1994), playing the Sheriff of Nottingham. He has authored over a dozen children's books, mostly presenting historical topics. Other credits include the John Wayne film Brannigan, the TV movie Hogfather, and guest roles on The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Minder, The Young Ones, Bergerac, and Casualty.
