Notes[]
- The episode title comes from the title of the Electric Mayhem song "Can You Picture That?"
- Some of the shots of the "Can You Picture That?" sequence, such as Dr. Teeth pouring paint onto the camera and the paint swirling around are lifted directly from The Muppet Movie.
- The documentary in the beginning shows actual footage of the Mayhem's performances on The Muppet Show (episode 202), the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Christmas in Rockefeller Center.
- Janice sneezing when Nora makes claims about being the boss of Wax Town Records foreshadows the next episode, which reveals that Janice is allergic to lying.
- In early edits, the episode originally began with the Mayhem performing "It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It)," but the higher-ups at Disney+ felt that the premiere episode should have a grander beginning. The scene later became the cold open to "Fortunate Son," and the new opening at the El Rey Theatre was produced during reshoots.[1]
