Elmo with Pat Monahan

Train is an American pop rock band from San Francisco. Members Pat Monahan, Jimmy Stafford and Scott Underwood appeared in a Sesame Street segment in Season 43 singing "Five By," a parody of their song "Drive By," with Elmo and Count von Count.

Lead guitarist Jimmy Stafford reflected on the bit in a 2014 article on Midland Daily News:

“That appearance was so huge for us. You know you’ve made it when you’re on ‘Sesame Street’. We didn’t have to think twice about that one.”

In 2013, lead singer Pat Monahan appeared with Abby Cadabby backstage at the National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
