Traumatic Experiences is an online Sesame Street initiative from their "Sesame Street in Communities" outreach program. The bi-lingual initiative was launched in October 2017, using original video content and online, printable activities for parents and children.
The nine original videos star the Muppets (Elmo, Big Bird, Rosita, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and Count von Count) alongside Alan and Sofía learning how to cope in difficult situations. Among the videos is an original, animated short produced by Christina Driver.
For the Spanish version, Sofía takes Alan's place in retaped versions of his two scenes. The remaining footage is dubbed.
