Trumpet Girl is the female trumpet player in The Muppet Show orchestra. She played the trumpet in the orchestra from the first through the fourth seasons. In the show's fifth season, because of the addition of trumpeter Lips to the band, Trumpet Girl permanently took up the trombone, which she first played in episode 415. In season five, her eyes were shown open for the first time (not counting episode 105 during an At the Dance sketch).
In addition to being a musician, she was often seen as a chorus girl and an unamed Whatnot in the At the Dance sketches during the first season. She had a brief line in episode 123, where she was performed by Eren Ozker.(This does not count her being voiced by Frank Oz during the "At the Dance sketches.)
The character had no other name; the Muppet Show scripts referred to her simply as "Trumpet Girl." [1]
