Turner Classic Movies is a cable television channel airing classic films distributed by MGM, United Artists, RKO Studios and Warner Bros., amongst others.
Kermit the Frog was one of several celebrity "guest programmers" who joined host Robert Osborne in November of 2007 to present and discuss a block of films, purportedly selected by the guest. Kermit's appearance was shown on November 21, 2007, where he discussed his selections: Singin' in the Rain (with Gene Kelly), The Band Wagon (with Fred Astaire), Cyrano de Bergerac (with José Ferrer), and Lassie Come Home (with Elizabeth Taylor). His appearance also promoted the release of The Muppet Show: Season Two on DVD. Other guest programmers that month included Alec Baldwin, Danny DeVito, Whoopi Goldberg, and Martha Stewart.
The Muppets Take Manhattan aired on February 9, 2007 as part of "TCM's 31 Days of Oscars". TCM showed the film again on Thanksgiving Day in 2013, 2014, and 2022. The film aired on September 13, 2022 for "TCM's Classic Movie Puppets."
The Muppet Movie became part of the 2014 TCM's Classic Film Festival.[1]
