- While not twins, the Muppets have played off the similar "identical cousins" trope (as famously featured in The Patty Duke Show). This includes gags with Luke Skywalker and his "identical cousin" Mark Hamill, Beauregard and his Cousin Mo, and Gonzo and his cousin Kevin. Other identical cousins include Fozzie Bear and his cousin, Elmo and his cousin Elmer, Big Bird and his international cousin Da Niao, and Cookie Monster and his British cousin Biscuit Monster. In promotional materials for Muppets Most Wanted, Kermit said that his doppelgänger Constantine was actually played by one of his cousins.
