Telly Monster informs the viewer that he and Elmo are starting two-headed monster school today so they can learn how to be just like the Two-Headed Monster.
They share the same purple uniform with openings for each of their necks, giving them the appearance of the Two-Headed Monster, and they have their two-headed monster "krayons" (spelled with a K) that each have a base that splits off into two points.
Their teacher, the Two-Headed Monster, enters the classroom singing "School Days," met with a morning greeting from their students. They answer in their unique gibberish, which Telly and Elmo take a few tries to mimic accurately.
With their salutations mastered, the teacher announces that it's story time. When Telly suggests a book with photos of cars on the cover, the teacher immediately disagrees: one head insists on a book with a cat on the cover, while the other wants one with a duck. Following their lead, Telly and Elmo begin arguing over which book to read as their teacher looks on with pride.
