Two Guys and a Few Muppets
Disney Treasure cruise Piggy Kermit
Joey Fatone cruise Muppets

Two Guys and a Few Muppets is an hour-long live cruise show conceived of, written by, and starring Matt Vogel and Eric Jacobson that took place on the maiden voyage of the Disney Cruise Lines ship Disney Treasure. Two performances were held on the evening of December 25, 2024 in the ship's "Walt Disney Theatre."[1] Lucas Ross supplied the banjo music utilized throughout the show, Dani Iglesias created production art, and Joey Fatone participated throughout, playing the assistant cruise director "Anthony."

Elsewhere during the cruise, Kermit and Piggy appeared live at the Grand Hall on December 26[2] to celebrate Boxing Day and sing an excerpt of "It Feels Like Christmas." Exclusive videos were also recorded to be played in passenger cabins involving Kermit and Animal on the bridge of the ship,[3] and a litany of Muppets (including Kermit, Fozzie, Piggy, Animal, Floyd, Pops, Lew Zealand, The Newsman, Uncle Deadly, Sam the Eagle, and Marvin Suggs) describing their favorite parts of the voyage.[4] Vogel and Jacobson scripted these appearances as well.

Vogel and Jacobson recounted the development and contents of the show on an episode of Vogel's Below the Frame podcast in February 2025.

The Show[]

"It's time to meet The Muppets!" Join Eric Jacobson and Matt Vogel (Muppet Performers) for a hilarious show that takes you behind the scenes to learn how the beloved characters are brought to life through puppetry. You never know who might show up![1]

The show opened with a video message from Kermit and Fozzie, detailing the small-scale performance about to occur. As they launch into an opening number of "Crusin' Right Along," they move to the live stage where they appear just as Matt Vogel and Eric Jacobson's bare hands.

Vogel and Jacobson begin to share information about Muppet performers and how they came into the profession. The two then don Kermit and Fozzie as they recreate the "The Comedian's a Bear" routine from The Muppet Show. Following a puppetry demonstration, "Anthony" appears for a "Port of Call" sketch, where various Muppet characters (including Camilla the Chicken, Animal, Floyd, Pops, Lew Zealand, The Newsman, Uncle Deadly, Sam the Eagle, Marvin Suggs, and two Muppaphones) board the cruise ship.

Following a montage of musical Muppet clips, Vogel and Jacobson now demonstrate puppet choreography using some penguins and an audio sample of "Rock On." Two audience participants join onstage to learn the craft, and then "Anthony" becomes another volunteer where they now dance to *NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye."

Miss Piggy finally takes the stage under the assumption that she will be performing her one-woman show based around Avatar. Instead of her planned number "It's Now or Na'vi," she and Kermit instead sing "The Magic Store" and "Rainbow Connection," joined by Joey Fatone, dropping the guise of "Anthony." During the ending theme, Kermit and Fozzie appear on the screens as bare hands again to wave goodbye.
