UCA, short for Universal Columbia Alliance, was a low-cost home video joint-venture agreement between Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment) and Universal Pictures.
The joint-venture agreement between both companies was formed in July 2002[1] shortly after CTHE ended their agreement with Cinema Club. Much like with Cinema Club, UCA re-released Sony's back catalogue in the United Kingdom; including Jim Henson Home Entertainment releases.
Initially, the venture focused on VHS releases but extended to DVD releases starting in 2004.
