In 2007, Universal Studios announced that it would be developing three Sesame Street-themed attractions for its upcoming Dubailand theme park. The attractions would include Sesame Street 4-D Movie Magic, a carousel, and a live stage show. Additionally, Sesame Street merchandise would be sold at Elmo's Emporium. Construction on the Dubailand theme park was put on hold after its first announcement in 2007, although on July 11, 2013, Dubai Holding said they were in talks with Universal on getting the project going again.[2]
