Universo Comics Spain is a book by the Spanish writer Alex Algarra about the Spanish PVC figure manufacturer Comics Spain. The book features a detailed catalogue of every figure the company ever produced (including color variants, bootlegs, non-produced prototypes and trivia), as well as a history of the company.
Figures of Miss Piggy and Kermit are among the many characters on the cover.
The Comics Spain Muppet figures, Muppet Babies figures, Sesame Street/Barrio Sésamo figures and Fraggle Rock figures each have their own chapter with photographs and information. The book also shows PVC figures of the Spanish puppet character Pepe Soplillo from El kiosco.
In addition, in the Fraggle Rock chapter, the writer has included photo material of figures by other companies from his private collection, as well as bootleg figures of the Barrio Sésamo characters Espinete and Don Pimpón.
The final chapter focuses on "mystery" figures. Among these is a paragraph about unreleased prototype figures of Sam Eagle and Nigel which were depicted on catalogue posters, but never produced.
