"Up Goes the Castle" is a Sesame Street song in which Ernie tells a story of a castle on top of a hill which is actually your (the listener's) stomach. The castle would go up every time you breathe in, and down when you breathe out which would anger either the king or queen.
Subsequent releases of the song after its initial 1979 release feature a slightly altered version of the song, replacing several of Ernie's lines with those from alternate takes.
