"Up and Down Dance" is a Sesame Street song originating in Episode 2950. Lillian teaches the dance to the kids, all about the difference between up and down.
The song was later performed in Episode 3786 by Big Bird, Elmo, and the Birdketeers, and in Episode 4012 (with some slightly changed lyrics) by Gina, Big Bird, and the kids.
The song is a spoof of James Brown's "There Was a Time."
