As for the red text at the top of the edit mode for a user talk page, what browser are you using? β€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 11:16, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

Hey, sorry, long day at work. Anywho, I checked the special preferences tab and it looks like they're using the right address, unless I switched to my backup at any point in the recent past. As for the browser, I use Google Chrome, if that's what you mean. Though, I only just noticed a flashing one on the bell-like shape in the lower left corner of the screen. Not sure that was there before, but I guess that's my signal. Garrettk41 (talk) 01:55, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

Voices and consistency again

Garrett, consistency does not generally mean consistency with a prior edit you personally made here and which basically had gone unnoticed by other editors. Please don't try to use that as precedent for undiscussed changes again. In this case, the formatting is better though it half implies Flynn voiced both ducks (we don't know both). But it really does need to be discussed and you're doing en masse changing *again* and against policy unless you say what you want to do first, it's approved, and then the multiple pages can be adjusted. Changing pages for something other than punctuation or grammar without discussion, again repeating, need to be approached that way. We're seriously getting concerned about this, whether it's not reading again, not comprehending, or just wanting to do your own thing. We've done our best to remind you and encourage you and while you have slowed down and we appreciate it, you're still doing the same thing as if you didn't read or forgot everything we've tried to explain to you. Wiki is all about collaboration and we need you to show a willingness to work with the larger community. The actual changes in this case aren't too bad overall, but you can't continue to do this. We would prefer not to block you again, as it didn't really seem to help much, but we're running out of ways to communicate with you short of constant repetition, which for a user who has been active for years, should not be the case. Please respond so we know you understand. Andrew Emoji-drool.gifAdminsig.png 20:06, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

It's times like this I don't quite know where to begin. First of all, I think you should know that I didn't even remember whether the first edit crediting Flynn on an episode page was mine or not. Actually, that wasn't even the one I had looked at to see if it was the case. The first one was the clip's first appearance in an episode from the third season. And there, it was formatted the proper way- apparently by me as well (I literally just checked) but like I said before, I had totally forgotten. While I did do my reading some time ago, and I did remember the rule about discussion, I guess I was thrown off by the fact that I had previously been granted permission to add in the Rick Cimino voice credits due to it not being consistent on each page. That didn't seem like the 'discussion' you had told me I needed to start, which involved getting votes from other users. You and Jon had simply given me your blessings. And then, not long after that, I had questioned Jon about whether or not to put James Cranna's voice credit on other pages since he was listed only on the page listing the cartoons done by the animator, but he advised me not to, so I didn't. Those two previous inquiries combined lead me to believe that it was okay to do what I did for the sake of consistency. That doesn't mean I didn't read the rules, it's just that I did so before those incidents came up, so I remembered them better. And like I said, I had zero memories of having added those first two Flynn edits myself. A few other things, too. You say the way I worded it makes it seem like he voiced both ducks. Well, I only said 'voice' instead of 'voices', as you said to make clear in the Cimino discussion. Also, it had been a while since I did this last because I was thoroughly checking for inconsistency with other cartoons. I had been looking at them alphabetically, and I didn't do this for any cartoons with Brian Cummings or Susan Davis because I knew that in those cases, it would be breaking the rules, as their names aren't credited on so much as one page featuring one of their cartoons. And while I was doing it yesterday, I did keep periodically checking for a message telling me to stop. And one last thing. Perhaps the reason mistakes like this have been happening a lot lately despite my having been here for a number of years is that only just recently did I learn the way to find out which episodes featured a certain clip. But I assure you I had no sneaky intentions when I did that yesterday. I just thought I understood the rules better than I apparently did. I think I get it now, though. I sincerely hope this won't lead to blocking. Henceforward, I'll discuss matters like this with you guys first, you have my word. Garrettk41 (talk) 07:50, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
Garrett, despite your good intent, your record over the years shows that you've continually struggled to follow the rules and work with others. I'm afraid we just don't have the resources to monitor your activity with the attention that it requires. We don't normally offer so many cautionary warnings, but out of respect for your tenure here on the wiki, we're reaching out for the last time to allow you one more chance to adhere to the guidance we've bent over backwards to administer to you with a great deal of patience. If there's one more slip-up at odds with any of the admins' communication with you, I'm afraid we're going to have to revoke your editing privileges indefinitely. I hope this is clear and that you understand. β€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 16:30, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Understood, Scott. And believe me, no one appreciates your leniency more than I do. Garrettk41 (talk) 00:04, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

compliment vs complement

You've incorrectly corrected this word several times. search?q=compliment+vs+complement β€”Scott latest?cb=20200820192427 (talk) 14:23, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

Oh. I never realized those were two different words. My mistake. Garrettk41 (talk) 14:50, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
