Vella is an Interion archeologist and teacher who appears in the Farscape episode "Sacrifice." She is referred to as "Instructor Vella" by the other characters.
Vella is leading a dig on the planet Arnessk, hoping to find the three Darnaz Probes and normalize the planet's magnetics. Vella views her species as superior to others, and remarks to Jool in private that Luxans are a subspecies, upsetting an eavesdropping D'Argo.
Secretly, Vella plans to cash in the Probes for a bounty. Having found two of the three, she is working with Oo-Nii to find the third. However, Oo-Nii discovers Vella has no intention of sharing the bounty, and he kills her in retaliation.
