Velma Blank, a parody of Wheel of Fortune hostess Vanna White, appeared on Sesame Street in Season 18, as the co-hostess for "Squeal of Fortune".
Velma is described in a 1994 CTW document as the sidekick to Sonny Friendly in Street storylines.[1] The script for Episode 2572 (1989) mentions Velma Blank by name as Sonny's assistant, but the final taped episode features a different Anything Muppet assistant, whom Sonny refers to as "Lou Lorinska."
