Venture Into Cures is an event held to collect funds for epidermolysis bullosa research. The event was held on EB Research Partnership's website on November 18, 2021 and later archived on YouTube.
Among the celebrities appearing to raise awareness of EB, Gonzo spoke with host Tom Holland via webcam. Playing into the actor's role of Spider-Man, Gonzo begins the call hung upside-down in an alleyway. However, unlike Spider-Man, he suspended himself over the street using cobwebs, and quickly impacted with the concrete. After Holland assured him that he doesn't need to be like someone else, he asked Gonzo to introduce the next segment in which he interviews a girl named Clara who suffers from the disease.
Other guests included Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Robert Downey, Jr., Fred Armisen, Jack Black, the Jonas Brothers, Catherine O'Hara, Ed O'Neill, Martin Short, Zendaya, and several others.
Kermit the Frog participated in the 2022 benefit webcast on November 20th. He appears with 6-year-old Elodie Kubik whose parents have organized a fundraiser for EB called Plunge for Elodie. Celebrities featured include Dana Carvey, Billie Eilish, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Garner, John Legend, Joe Jonas, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Molly Shannon, Eddie Vedder, and Venus Williams.
