Vija appears in the Farscape episode "Home on the Remains." He is a deemo (a type of gambling game) player.
Instead of mining nogelti crystals to earn money for food, Rygel decides to play a game of deemo with Vija in order to win some money. Vija out-cheats Rygel at the game and wins.
Rygel had used crystals (which he didn't actually have) to bet with. Vija figures this out and throws Rygel into the mines, demanding Rygel to get the crystals that he is owed.
