Vogons are a vile, nasty, bureaucratic species who destroy the Earth to make way for a hyperspace bypass in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Vogons come from the planet Vogsphere. The leader of the Vogon constructor fleet is Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz, while a higher-ranking Vogon bureaucrat, Kwaltz, is his immediate superior.
