Waze is a mobile app using GPS and community-driven data to provide navigation.
Sesame Street[]
In June 2019, Waze introduced Sesame Street content. Cookie Monster's voice was added as one of the voice options, and the "Moods" feature allowed the user to choose an icon for their car that looks like Cookie Monster, Elmo, or Oscar the Grouch. A feature was included that provides directions to Sesame Street -- or, at least the honorary Sesame Street at 63rd and Broadway that was established in May.
In conjunction with the app features, Waze sponsored three videos on Sesame Street's YouTube channel featuring Grover, Abby Cadabby, and Elmo on various "Imagination Destinations". Tyler Bunch does the GPS voice and performs a lobster in the "Pirate Ship Car" video.
Fraggle Rock[]
Beginning September 14, 2021, Waze offered Red Fraggle from Fraggle Rock as a voice option for turn-by-turn navigation. [1] Icons of other characters are also available for other features in the app.
