"We Built This City" is a song originally recorded by the group Starship in 1984. The single reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1985, and also number one on the U.S. Top Rock Tracks chart.

The song is played in the 2011 film The Muppets during a montage of the Muppets cleaning The Muppet Theatre.

A music video of the song was released internationally by Walt Disney Studios to promote the release in Australia and the United Kingdom.
