Will Ferrell (b. 1967) is a comedic actor who rose to prominence as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2002.
Ferrell appeared in the 2005 adaptation of The Producers as Franz Liebkind, a Nazi playwright who owns a group of trained piegons, provided by Jim Henson's Creature Shop for certain scenes. He later played Armando Alvarez in 2012's Casa de Mi Padre, and interacted with an animatronic Creature Shop jaguar in an extended sequence.
In 2012, Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis presented the Academy Award for Best Original Song to Bret McKenzie for "Man or Muppet," from The Muppets.
Following SNL, Ferrell made a successful transition into film, with leading roles in Elf, the Anchorman movies (with Steve Carell), Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and Step Brothers. His other film credits include Zoolander and Zoolander 2 (with Ben Stiller), the first two Austin Powers movies, Barbie (as the CEO of Mattel), and the animated features Megamind (with Brad Pitt) and The Lego Movie.
Ferrell's TV appearances include Strangers with Candy, 30 Rock, The Office (as Deangelo Vickers in season 7), The Boys, and the animated series King of the Hill, Family Guy, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
