Will Ryan (1949-2021) was a voice actor and writer who scripted multiple episodes of The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss and served as consulting producer on the series (often credited as Terwilliger Ryan or another pseudonym). He also wrote lyrics for songs on the show such as "Adventure Awaits".
As a performer, Ryan partnered with Phil Baron as "Willio and Phillio" in the 1970s. He soon established himself as a voice actor, playing Willie the Giant and Pete in Mickey's Christmas Carol, Footloose on G.I. Joe, Grubby in the Teddy Ruxpin toys and animated series, and the seahorse in The Little Mermaid. He voiced Rabbit in the 1983 Winnie the Pooh featurette Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore and the same year played Rabbit, Tigger, and Eeyore's singing voice in Welcome to Pooh Corner for the Disney Channel. Ryan has been heard in such Don Bluth features as An American Tail (Digit) and The Land Before Time (Petrie). As a writer, Ryan has contributed regular articles to Animation Magazine and created Elmo Aardvark (no relation), who starred in several audio CDs and the flash animated series Elmo Aardvark: Outer Space Detective.
