Buckley's sheepskin counterpart William F. Lamby
William F. Buckley Jr. (1925-2008) was an intellectual author, commentator, and host of the public affairs series Firing Line from 1966 until 1999. His TV appearances made his distinctive arch delivery and mannerisms popular with impressionists, while his print influence ranged from founding the conservative periodical The National Review to authoring political tomes and fictional CIA thrillers.
