Willie Winkie is a ghost featured in the Mother Goose Stories episode bearing his name — "Willie Winkie."
Willie is a friendly ghost living with his mother. He must go to bed by eight o'clock or else he will lose his ghostly powers. However, due to his friendly nature, Willie insists of flying round the town to say goodnight to the children.
Among the children he says goodnight to is a boy named Tom. When Tom's father, who does not like the idea of a ghost haunting his house, finds out about Willie, he sets up a plan to trap Willie so he will lose his ghostly powers. Tom's father prepares a feast for Tom and Willie to delay Willie from getting back home by eight o'clock.
