Woman's Hour is one of the longest running BBC radio series, dating back to the old-time radio era in 1946. It has been heard on various BBC stations over the decades, including BBC Radio 2 and (from 1973 onward) BBC Radio 4. The magazine style show has included interviews, news reports and discussions about issues affecting women, music, and other entertainment elements, including at times drama, serials, and fiction readings.
The February 11th, 2012 broadcast included an interview with Miss Piggy, to promote the UK theatrical release of The Muppets.[1] At the start of the broadcast, Jane Garvey referred to it as "an interview with a right pig." The interview included feminist concerns, such as whether being in the acting profession was as difficult for "the maturing pig" as the older woman, and the negative connotations of being a diva, but Miss Piggy herself says she does not describe herself as a feminist. According to Garvey, the interview purportedly took place at the Mayfair Hotel.
