Wodehouse is the butler of Lady Agatha in a "Mysterious Theater" segment on Sesame Street. He announces visitors Sherlock Hemlock and his dog Watson, who have been summoned to help find Agatha and her husband Rodney Knocklee's missing cat. When Watson has just about solved the case, Wodehouse warns him not to look underneath the mat. The cat was terrified of Watson and is hiding there. This results in a big cat-and-dog fight, wrecking everything in the room.
Wodehouse is named after the English comic writer P. G. Wodehouse, who wrote 15 books about Jeeves, the quintessential gentleman's personal gentleman.
