Yale University is an Ivy League school founded in 1701, located in New Haven, Connecticut.
Several writers and creatives for Muppet and Henson productions received degrees from the university, including Jon Stone, Lloyd Morrisett, Tony Geiss, Sam Pottle, Ray Sipherd, John Weidman, John Glines, Gary Knell, Jeremy Stone, Bobby Lopez, and Rusty Magee.

- In Episode 0973 of Sesame Street, Mr. Hooper states that if he won the lottery, he'd continue his education and enroll in college. He briefly sings "Boola Boola," in reference to one of Yale's football songs.
- A Yale banner pennant in Scooter's "Six String Orchestra" set in episode 417 of The Muppet Show.
- "The Whiffenpoof Song," the signature song of the institution's a capella group of the same name, was performed on The Muppet Show in episode 419.
- Yale appears as a property on a Monopoly-esque board for "The Business Game" in the Muppet Meeting Film, "Win! Win! Win!"
Tony Geiss papers[]
Following the passing of Sesame Street writer Tony Geiss, various materials of his were donated to the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, branded as the "Tony Geiss papers." The collection includes writings, notebooks, scripts, files, awards, audiovisual material, stuffed animals, printed material, and other papers relating to Geiss and his work on Sesame Street and other television and film projects.
