Yara Shahidi (b. 2000) is an actor best known for playing Zoey Johnson on Black-ish.
In 2020, she appeared in the Sesame Street special The Power of We. Tamir and Gabrielle call her via video conference where she suggests making sidewalk chalk art to stand up to racism.
Shahidi has appeared in the films Imagine That (with Eddie Murphy), Salt (with Angelina Jolie), Unthinkable (with Samuel L. Jackson), Butter (with Jennifer Garner), Alex Cross (with Giancarlo Esposito), Detective Pikachu (with Ryan Reynolds), and played Tinker Bell in the 2023 live action film Peter Pan & Wendy. Her TV roles include Wizards of Waverly Place, $♯*! My Dad Says, and Scandal (as a young version of Kerry Washington's character).
