DEBUT 1980

Yorick is a Muppet skull who appears in a Shakespearean scene in The Muppet Show episode 418.

In the sketch, Christopher Reeve attempts to give the traditional "Alas, poor Yorick" soliloquy from Hamlet and Yorick speaks up to argue with the actor. Eventually, Reeve tosses Yorick into a nearby basketball net and Fozzie notes, "Shakespeare 1, Audience nothing!"

A small replication of Yorick was produced and packaged with the Uncle Deadly Action Figure by Palisades Toys. The pack-in accessory was labeled as "Muppet Skull," allegedly to avoid confusion with the Sam and Friends character of the same name.
